Project
You will join a global cloud infrastructure team working on an industry-leading platform built on Microsoft Azure that serves maritime and energy sectors worldwide. This platform handles massive amounts of critical data from vessels, offshore installations, pipelines, and industrial assets, providing real-time analytics and insights that directly impact safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Your role will focus on building and maintaining Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters that power enterprise SaaS solutions, developing Internal Developer Platform capabilities using Backstage to enable self-service for development teams, implementing Platform Engineering practices to improve developer experience and accelerate delivery, and ensuring high availability, security, and performance of containerized workloads serving millions of users globally.
Expected competences and knowledge
- Strong Kubernetes experience – hands-on administration of production AKS clusters (provisioning, RBAC, networking, troubleshooting)
- Azure Cloud expertise – solid understanding of AKS, Azure Container Apps, Azure Container Registry, and core Azure services
- Infrastructure as Code – proven experience with Terraform and Terragrunt in production environments
- GitOps proficiency – practical experience with ArgoCD or Flux for continuous deployment
- Containerization – deep knowledge of Docker, containerd, Dockerfiles, and container best practices
- CI/CD – experience building and maintaining pipelines with GitHub Actions or similar tools
- Observability stack – hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager
- Configuration Management – working knowledge of Ansible (playbooks, roles)
- Scripting skills – proficiency in Bash and Python for automation
- Platform Engineering experience (nice to have) – familiarity with Backstage and self-service platform concepts
- Advanced Kubernetes (nice to have) – knowledge of Operators, CRDs, Admission Webhooks
- Extended observability (nice to have) – experience with Loki, Tempo, Fluent Bit, Thanos
- Policy enforcement (nice to have) – practical experience with Kyverno or similar tools
