Project
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to own and stabilise a Snowflake-based data platform. You will develop and maintain data pipelines using AWS, Snowflake, dbt, SQL and Python, ensuring data quality, security and reliability while supporting business and regulatory reporting.
Expected competences and knowledge
- 8+ years of hands-on data engineering experience
- Strong production experience with Snowflake and dbt
- Advanced SQL and Python skills
- Experience with AWS (S3, Lambda/ECS, IAM, data replication)
- Strong data modelling and ETL/ELT pipeline development skills
- Experience with Power BI, DAX and semantic models
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality monitoring and PII security
- Experience in financial services, trading or fintech
- Fluent, professional English (written and spoken)
Responsibilities you’ll have
- Own and maintain the data platform end to end.
- Develop and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS, Snowflake, dbt, SQL and Python.
- Implement data models and support Power BI reporting.
- Monitor data quality, pipeline performance and platform costs.
- Ensure data security, governance and PII protection.
- Collaborate with Finance, Risk and other business teams on data requirements.
