Project
You will be involved in a project focused on the design of mechanical product, for high volume manufacturing, high quality and harsh environment, of electric drive products (iDM – Integrated Drive Module). Your tasks will consist of developing CAD models and drawings based on mechanical engineer requirements, performing drawing verification of your design, and supporting Manufacturing and Test fixture and gages development.
Responsibilities you’ll have
- Perform MCAD activity on new or support existing projects.
- Create, evaluate and document mechanical designs using corporate tool sets (NX &
TeamCenter). - Create and update 3D parts / assemblies / drawings
- Ensure of model and drawing compliance to internal standards and procedures
- Support Mechanical Verification activities, tolerances stack-up and documentation
- Support change management process as required
- Communication/presentation of our results the Team
- Exchange 3D data with supplier and customer
- Manage BOM’s and release based on project approval
Expected competences and knowledge
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong mechanical engineering background, particularly in gearbox and electric motor design.
- Previous experience in mechanical design within a high-volume, quality-sensitive manufacturing environment.
- Experience with driveline components, including gears, shafts, casings, bearings, and lubrication systems.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modelling, preferably using NX, and experience with Teamcenter or equivalent PLM solutions.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and component design for metal and die-cast parts.
- Experience designing products for a cost-competitive automotive environment, with particular focus on sealing, thermal, and vibration requirements.
- Good knowledge and practical application of GD&T principles.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CAD software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Customer-focused mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good organizational skills, excellent time management, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Fluency in English.
