- Opportunity to build a fintech platform from scratch (greenfield project)
- Real impact on architecture and core frontend services from day one
- Collaboration within a cross-functional, international team
- Work on a large-scale financial platform in the banking domain
Project
We are building a fintech platform from the ground up for a financial institution operating in the banking products space. As a QA Engineer, you will be embedded in a cross-functional squad, responsible for ensuring the quality of both backend services and frontend applications. This is a manual testing role – you will design test strategies, write test cases, execute tests, and work closely with developers and the Business Analyst to catch defects early and maintain a high quality bar.
Quality expectations for this project are high. You will be testing financial products and services where correctness and reliability are critical.
Responsibilities you’ll have
- Design and execute manual test cases for backend services and frontend applications within your squad
- Develop and maintain test plans, test scenarios, and test documentation for assigned product areas
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across web and mobile channels
- Collaborate with developers to understand implementation details and identify high-risk areas for testing
- Work with the Business Analyst to validate that delivered features meet acceptance criteria and business requirements
- Report, track, and verify defect resolution
- Maintain clear and actionable defect documentation
- Coordinate with the QA Lead on testing standards, processes, and cross-squad test coverage
- Communicate test status, risks, and quality metrics in English to the squad and stakeholders
Expected competences and knowledge
- Solid commercial experience in manual software testing (mid-level proficiency expected)
- Experience with test case design, test planning, and structured testing methodologies
- Experience testing web applications and mobile applications
- Ability to test both frontend (UI/UX) and backend (API, database) layers
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail – ability to identify edge cases and non-obvious defects
- Fluent English – ability to communicate freely in a professional setting (spoken and written)
Nice to have
- Prior experience testing financial services or banking applications
- Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, REST-assured, or similar)
- Basic understanding of Java/Spring backend stack and Flutter/React frontend stack
- Experience with test management tools (Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar)
- Experience working in greenfield projects where testing processes need to be established from scratch

Here’s how we get from first “hello”
to “welcome aboard”
You’ll meet with our HR team to discuss your experience, approach to software development, and teamwork. We’ll also verify your English language proficiency as part of the conversation. Then, you’ll take part in a technical interview focused on your skills and problem-solving mindset.
If both interviews go well, we’ll match you with a project aligned with your skills and expectations. You’ll then meet the client – this is where the final project-related decision is made.
Based on feedback and your preferences, we’ll prepare an offer tailored to your experience. We’ll agree on the project, salary, type of contract, and your start date.
We start with a short phone conversation to get to know each other. We’ll talk about your experience, career goals, and motivation, while giving you a chance to learn more about Jit Team and the role.
Depending on the role, you’ll complete a short recruitment task to showcase your skills. We’ll also verify your English language proficiency as part of this stage.
Next, you’ll meet your future Team Leader at our office. We’ll discuss your experience, ways of working, and how your skills match the role, while giving you a better understanding of the team and day-to-day collaboration.
If we’re a good match, we’ll prepare an offer tailored to your experience. We’ll agree on the salary, type of contract, and your start date. Welcome to Jit Team!
