Project
The project focuses on the development of state-of-the-art power electronics solutions for the automotive industry, supporting the latest generation of Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs).
The scope covers key powertrain components, including power electronics inverters, Electronic Control Units (ECUs), and On-Board Chargers (OBCs). The project involves managing and analyzing customer hardware requirements, translating them into detailed HW product requirements and design items, as well as ensuring compliance through verification and testing activities.
You will be working within an international, multidisciplinary product development team, contributing to advanced automotive powertrain electronics designed for mass-market electric and hybrid vehicles.
- Analyze Hardware Stakeholder Requirements and interface with all involved parties (Customer and Internal)
- Decompose the requirements into architectural blocks, I/O interfaces and system requirements/design that are assigned to Hardware Electronic, Mechanical, validation and Manufacturing engineering team
- Generate Product Definition Document and perform Change Management
- Develop requirements for embeded test software
- Develop product functional test plan, define hardware test setup and test benches
- Perform product functional hardware bench testing
- Provide technical support to hardware environmental and electromagnetic compatibility validation
- Provide technical support to manufacturing plant to set up production changes
- Support customer test and validation programs
- Participate in problem solving activities
Expected competences and knowledge
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive electronics or e-Mobility hardware
- Strong understanding of embedded hardware systems
- Experience with system-level architecture design
- Familiarity with problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, RCA)
- Knowledge of AIAG/VDA FMEA and ISO 26262 (nice to have)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to combine high-level system thinking with attention to detail
- Fluent English (German or French is a plus)
